The ARRL Incoming QSL Service and 1X1 Callsigns (Bill Moore, NC1L): "When
sending cards to confirm 1X1 callsigns (Special Event callsigns), the ARRL QSL Service requests you note somewhere on the card the person who 'requisitioned' the callsign. This will expedite routing to the proper station and may result in quicker processing of cards handled through the ARRL US Incoming Bureaus. To locate the person responsible for a 1X1 callsign, please visit this site:
http://www.ncvec.org/1x1.php

Enter the 1X1 callsign. When the screen appears, select the 1X1 callsign based
on the event you worked. Click 'Details' on the right-side of the page to
determine the person responsible for the operation.
'See Requisitioned by'

Remember, callsigns may be issued more than once, so following the above
procedure will allow the QSL Service to direct it to the proper person. Direct
any questions to qsl@arrl.org"

The Ohio/Penn DX Bulletin No. 824 - excerpts

3B7, ST. BRANDON
The 3B7C team is now active from Isle du Sud, St. Brandon (AF-015). It seems the
team arrived on the island on September 5th, apparently the boat trip wasn't
very pleasant due to high seas, but activity did not start until around 2000z,
September 7th. Here are the following suggested frequencies:
CW - 1822, 3502, 7002, 10102, 14022, 18072, 21022, 24892 and 28022
SSB - 1842, 3795, 7052, 14145, 18145, 21295, 24945 and 28495
RTTY - 3570, 7035, 10137, 14085, 18100, 21085, 24920 and 28075
PSK - 3580, 7037, 10140, 14071, 18100, 21071, 24920 and 28071
FM - 29580
6m - CW/50102, SSB/50145 and Beacon/50090z
The 3B7C team plans to have 12 stations on the air. There will be a station on
every band from 160-6 meters with second stations on 80 and 20 meters so they
can operate on CW and SSB at the same time. This should be a fun and easy
operation to work anywhere. Activity is expected to last until September 24th.

Update-to-date news is at:
http://www.3b7c.com/news.htm

Pilot station for the operation is John, G3WGV, and his E-mail address is:
3b7c@g3wgv.com

4O, MONTENEGRO
To celebrate the admission of the Republic of Montenegro to the Council of
Europe, members of the radio club of the Council of Europe have organized an
expedition in collaboration with Ranko/4O3A, to air the special event callsign
4O0CE between October 17-21st. QSL via F5LGF. Logs will be available at:
http://ewwa.free.fr/

AO8, CANARY ISLANDS
Edu, EA8AUW, will be active as AO8X during the CQ World-Wide RTTY DX Contest
(September 29-30th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/ High-Power entry. Activity will be
from the URE Las Palmas section radio club station EA8URL. QSL via EA8AUW.

D4, CAPE VERDE
Operators Girts/YL2KL and Vilnis/YL2KF will be active as D4C during the CQ World
Wide DX RTTY Contest (September 29-30th) as a Multi-Single entry. For latest
information, check the Web page at:
http://www.d4c.cc

FH1, MAYOTTE (AF-027)
Alain, F4RPW, informs OPDX that he is now a resident of Mayotte, and has
received the callsign FH1LE. He has just arrived on the island about 3 weeks
ago. Alain is gradually getting all his equipment sorted and is planning to
install his station soon (possibly this week). He will use a vertical antenna to
begin with (a 4BTV) and will be using a FT-897 (100w). Alain plans to operate on
SSB, maybe CW if he can find the time to practice a little more. He also plans
to operate digital modes (PSK31, RTTY) with a Microham interface. Alain also
brought with him a beam antenna, a KT-34 upgraded with the latest kit, but he
needs more things arranged to get it erected (He states, "I'm not sure the
garden is large enough".).

HR2, HONDURAS
Gus, LU1DY, will be active as HR2/LT0E during the CQ World-Wide DX RTTY Contest
(September 29-30th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via HQ2LAS.

IOTA NEWS

EU-137. A group of Swedish and German operators will be active from Ven Island
from October 6-13th. Activity will be on CW, SSB and RTTY. The team plans on
using high power for this operation. At the moment, the team consists of:

Name/Homecall EU-137 Callsign QSL Route
-------------- --------------- ---------
Fred/SM7DAY SM7DAY/7 QSL via homecall
Frank/DL2SWW SD7W QSL via DL2SWW
Tom/DL2RTK SE7TK QSL via DL2RTK
Ric/DL2VFR SD7V QSL via DL2VFR QSL all via the Bureau (preferred) or if really necessary via direct (they can
only accept new IRC; be aware please that 2 USDs barely cover the postage to
outside EU).

P29, PAPUA NEW GUINEA (New IOTAs)
Operators Luis/CT1AGF, Derek/G3KHZ, Steve/G4EDG and Hans/SM6CVX together with
two non-ham friends will make the journey by chartered boat from Buka Island on
September 22nd to Nukumanu Island (OC-284p). They should be active as P29VCX
from Nukumanu for about 6 days beginning September 23rd. The plan is then to
sail to Takuu Island (OC-283p) and operate using the callsign P29NI from there
for 6 days starting about September 30th. Finally, if time permits, they will
sail to Kilinalau Island (OC-256, aka Tulun Islands) and operate from there for
a few days, possibly as P29VLR, between October 6-9th before returning to Buka.
The dates may vary a little depending on the local weather. They expect to
operate on all bands, including 160 and 80 meters, with possibly 3-4 stations,
two amplifiers, verticals and a multiband dipole. Their plan is to run 4
stations simultaneously from 2 sites on each island. This should allow
simultaneous operation from two stations on the same band using different modes.
Two stations will use 500w linears and two stations will use 100w. QSL P29NI via
G3KHZ. QSL P29VCX and the Kilinalau Island operation via SM6CVX. The group is
looking for support from the ham community. More details and updates are
available on their Web page at:
http://www.rep.pt/P29-PapuaNewGuinea/

SV5, DODECANESE
Operators Luk/ON4BB and Bill/ON5JE will be active as SV5/homecall from the
Island of Rhodes (EU-001, MIA MGD-028, WLOTA LH-0045), September 11-25th. This
will be a holiday style operation. QSL via their home callsign, the bureau is
preferred.

SV9, CRETE (EU-015)
Steve, G0SGB, will be active as SV9/G0SGB/p, September 12-25th. He will also
activate various lighthouses during his travels. QSL via his home callsign.

TK, CORSICA (EU-014)
Heinz, DF6ZY, will be active as TK/DF6ZY, September 16-28th. Activity will be on
80-10 meters, mostly on RTTY, but he will switch to SSB or SSTV on request. QSLs
via the bureau to DF6ZY or direct.

VP9, BERMUDA (NA-005)
Operators Ted/W3TB and Blair/K3YD will be active as VP9I during the CQ WW DX SSB
Contest (October 27-28th) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL via N1HRA.

ZD7, ST. HELENA
Just a reminder. Tom, KC0W, who recently moved to St. Helena Island, and is
expected to be active as ZD7X possibly by September 15th. His activity will be
on modes CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK. Look for his operations on 160-6 meters. Special
attention will be given to 40, 75/80 and 160 meters. ZD7X will be active in all
major contests. Tom has already announced that he will be active as a
Single-Op/Low-Power entry in both the CQ World Wide DX SSB Contest (October
27-28th) and the CQ World Wide DX CW Contest (November 24-25th). When not
contesting Tom will be DXing in general. His QSL Manager is WØMM.

ZONE 2 (IOTA Op)
Three members of the Magnolia DX Association (MDXA) and one other operator will
activate Orleans Island (NA-128/QC-007) as VE2IDX for 2007 W/VE Islands QSO
Party and Zone 2 (Sept-Iles) as VE2Z for CQ World-Wide DX SSB Contest (October
27-28th). Operators mentioned are: Igor/VE3ZF/VE2IDX (MDXA - Team Leader),
Ken/VE3FDX, Travis/K5GED (MDXA) and Bill/K5YG (MDXA). This is an all-out, high
power operation, with an extensive array of antennas. Their goal is to "Set
World Record" for the QSO Party and "Set the Record" for Zone 2 for the CQWW
Contest. More details should be forthcoming.
